GM Research and Training is a Baltimore-based nonprofit. Our interdisciplinary team of researchers and practitioners works alongside community organizations, schools, government agencies and foundations to design, deliver and evaluate programs that improve lives, particularly in underserved communities.
To improve the quality of life for children, youth, families and communities, particularly those who are underserved, through research-based programs, training and technical assistance that foster lasting social and economic progress.
Every engagement starts with best practices and ends with evidence of what changed.
We assess community and organizational needs through research, data and consultation with the people closest to the issue.
We build programs, training and technical assistance grounded in proven practices and tailored to local context.
We measure results with rigorous methods and use the findings to strengthen services and inform policy.
“Any project that helps our citizens to interface more safely and effectively with the police, and also strives to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement, will be most beneficial to society.”
